Rand Knox's enraged-consumer page rants about unscrupulous car
dealers--hoping to offset what he claims is $22 billion a year
in auto fraud. A lot of this is downright nasty. A facetious
list of 10 reasons to buy from a factory-authorized dealer is
59 items long (and still growing). CARveat Emptor tries to position
itself as some kind of arbitrator. Wrong. It's blatantly biased--but
the kind of consumer resource that can come in handy. [Well,
er, ahh, geez, thanks? (:-)) ["Blatantly biased"?,
perhaps... we suppose one would consult the auto industry for
"balance"... (:-), Hey, Henry Ford was an industrial
genious... had the Nazis won, he'd'h've merely kept on making
vehicles for the Third Reich, since he played both sides in the
war... "Blatantly biased", hum?]
